On Thursday 12th October, Councillor for Beardwood and Lammack, Jackie Floyd visited the school to educate citizenship students in Year 7 on her role as an elected representative of her ward.
She presented her contribution to the community as an active citizen and inspired students to be good citizens using her example. Year 7s brainstormed ideas with Jackie to make their own contribution as a result.
Jackie then held a Q&A session to inspire students to participate in a democratic society and even had one student pledging to be a councillor when she grows up and become PM!
