“Aim HIGH … Achieve HIGHER”

Pupils at Al Islah Girls High School are easy to distinguish by the personal qualities they present. Alhamdulillah, they are happy, confident, articulate girls with a love of learning and a sense of service, who recognise and celebrate their own individuality and that of other members of our community. They are generous, kind and welcoming; they are forgiving and understand justice. With Allah (SWT) by their side, they face the world with resilience, integrity and joy.

Our school motto of RESPECT, EDUCATE and ACHIEVE is at the very heart of everything we do. Our small class sizes mean that we know our children as individuals and are able to provide a truly personalised learning experience, giving additional support or extending learning as appropriate, so that each girl achieves to the very best of their abilities.

Standards in Reading, Writing, Maths and Science are excellent. Our GCSE results are consistently above national average and you may be forgiven for thinking that teaching these subjects is our main focus. Although we hold excellence in the subjects to a high standard, we also pay due regard and provide extra-curricular opportunities for the girls to develop and discover their talents, which means lessons at Al Islah ‘come alive’ and pupils are pro-active and engaged throughout. As a result, it is our intention that every child will leave Al Islah with a skill or talent they can be proud of and a love for learning that will equip them for life.

I am very proud of the school achieving a ‘GOOD’ in our most recent Ofsted Inspection. The support and guidance from the respected School Governing Body and Trustees, and Staff has been overwhelming and together with the duas and support of the parents and the local community, we have achieved this fantastic result.

Our vision for the school reflects how we have progressed over the last few years.

The school appointed a new leadership team in 2016 with one vision in mind; to provide a high standard of education in an Islamic environment for the girls in our community. They aimed ‘high and alhamdullilah achieved higher’.

Browsing the school website and the videos will give you a taste of the school experience that we can offer your daughter and we believe that this is the best school in the area.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. We hold Open Day Events but we prefer to give prospective parents time to get in touch with us to give them the opportunity to experience the school on a normal working day. This will allow me to give you my undivided attention and introduce you to some of the children and staff who make up the Al Islah Family. I look forward to meeting you soon.
